Masala Render Lab is an independent AI creative studio building vivid campaigns, editorial worlds and short-form films with plenty of visual appetite and very little interest in beige.
We like colour. A lot of it.
Pink with green. Blue with red. Saffron with maroon. Yellow with green. Matcha against purple. A red bridal lehenga with a blue bag of Doritos. Jeans with a sari blouse. Jalebi next to a matcha latte. A vintage Indian nose chain with a Metallica T-shirt.
We like things that look slightly wrong together for half a second, then suddenly completely right.
WE LIKE COLLISION.
Old with new.
Street with editorial.
Sportswear with bridal jewellery.
Everyday objects with couture styling.
Commercial polish with a little friction.
We like Slavic women in luxurious lehengas and dramatic nose chains. We like grandmothers in fresh trainers behind the wheel of Pakistani jingle trucks. We like brides sitting on stacks of rice bags as if this were the most obvious place in the world to shoot couture.
We are heavily influenced by places where visual cultures overlap naturally rather than being carefully coordinated into a moodboard.
Southall. Whitechapel. Brick Lane. Lahore streets. Indian supermarkets. Pakistani jingle trucks. Moroccan markets. Mexican fruit stalls. Tropical grocery aisles. Old painted doors. Global branding sitting beside hand-painted signs.
A sequinned bridal shop next to Adidas makes more visual sense to us than a perfectly arranged beige Pinterest shelf ever will.
The point is not East versus West.
The point is what happens when everything gets to sit at the same table.
WORLDBUILDING DISGUISED AS PHOTOGRAPHY.
We are less interested in generating a beautiful person holding a beautiful product in a beautiful room and calling it a campaign.
We like characters.
People who look as though they had a life five minutes before the frame and will continue having one afterwards.
An auntie in an orange kurta and green trainers playing basketball.
A dadi deadlifting.
A red bride in full regalia eating Doritos between takes.
We like slowly developing characters, styling, environments, little habits and visual clues until an image feels like one frame from a bigger universe.
Sometimes that becomes fashion photography. Sometimes a product campaign. Sometimes something nobody sensible asked for.
That is usually where the fun starts.
COMMERCIAL IMAGERY WITH A PULSE.
We love crisp commercial photography.
Sharp detail. Beautiful light. Saturated colour. Immaculate product surfaces. Images that feel premium.
We just don’t believe polished has to mean predictable.
Give us perfect studio lighting and then give us purple and matcha green.
Give us gold jewellery with an oversized sweatshirt.
Give us an immaculate beauty product sitting somewhere it has absolutely no business being.
Commercial imagery can be clean without being obedient.
And in an era where beautiful AI imagery can be generated in seconds, beautiful is no longer enough.
Pretty is everywhere. Memorable takes more work.
That is the work we are interested in.
WE TAKE THE WORK SERIOUSLY. OURSELVES, SLIGHTLY LESS SO.
Masala Render Lab has a sense of humour.
We like making things that can sell a product and still make somebody smile while they are staring at their phone at 11:47, counting down to lunch.
Not every campaign needs to behave like a luxury fragrance commercial filmed during a minor existential crisis.
Sometimes a strange visual idea, a deadpan character or an unexpected collision can make a brand feel more human, more distinctive and much harder to scroll past.
We like that little moment when somebody stops and thinks:
what on earth is this?
Ideally followed by:
I kind of love it.
BEFORE AI, THERE WAS PORRIDGE.
Before Masala Render Lab, Justyna spent around seven and a half years running an independent food blog and photographing an unreasonable quantity of vegan breakfasts with a classic DSLR, masala chai spreads, market hauls and colourful ingredients.
What started as a hobby quietly became years of practice in composition, styling, light, colour and visual storytelling.
That archive is still alive on Instagram at @justynamanjari.
This is where a lot of the visual appetite started.
If you scroll back far enough, you’ll find colourful breakfast bowls, Southall grocery hauls, chai, market produce, travel, questionable levels of enthusiasm about lentils and the early version of the same obsession with colour that eventually became Masala Render Lab.

Twelve years living in the UK shaped that visual instinct even further.
Southall Broadway became a particular obsession: sari shops beside sportswear, abayas beneath giant beauty billboards, Indian grocers stacked with twenty kinds of lentils, Coca-Cola fridges glowing beside bags of rice and boxes of mithai.
A lentil-shopping trip could genuinely feel like Disneyland.
Time in India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Bali, Jordan and Morocco added more visual layers — markets, packaging, hand-painted signage, colour that ignores every European neutral palette rulebook.
South Asian colour is the loudest voice in MRL's DNA, but Mexican visual culture, tropical excess, fruit maximalism, Frida energy, old signage, streetwear and immaculate studio product photography all sit at the same table.
Basically, anything that makes the eyes wake up.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO.
We translate all of this into commercial work: product imagery, fashion campaigns, food and beverage content, beauty and jewellery visuals, social carousels, AI fashion shoots, short-form films, character concepts, campaign worlds and social video editing.
Sometimes a brand comes to us with a finished creative direction. Sometimes with one product photo. Sometimes with:
“We need something cool.”
All three are workable.
Masala Render Lab is currently growing deeper into moving image, editing and AI filmmaking, with the long-term goal of creating increasingly cinematic commercial work without sanding away the colour, humour and slightly strange ideas that made the studio worth starting in the first place.
We are hungry for creative insanity.
Preferably after a very hot matcha.
Based in Warsaw. Working everywhere.
